Collection: Acoustic Panels
Acoustic wall panels are sound absorbing wall panels that aim to improve sound quality within a room by reducing echo and reverberation and lowering overall noise levels. Acoustic panels are a popular solution due to their versatility, performance, ease of use, and range of designs.
Whether you’re completing an office fit out, addressing noise control within a classroom, or setting up a home cinema, acoustic wall panels can help you achieve your desired interior both visually and acoustically.
At Muffle, we offer acoustic panels from several leading brands including Ecophon, BuzziSpace, Fluffo, and our own range. Our collection of acoustic wall panels is extensive, with a diverse mix of colours, styles, designs, shapes, and sizes available as well as catering to a range of budgets.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many acoustic panels do I need?
How many acoustic panels you need depends on several factors: the size of your space, what you use the room for, the size of your wall panel, and your acoustic requirements. However, a good rule of thumb is to cover at least 30% of hard surfaces with acoustic treatment.
If you need more help, start a live chat with us, give us a call, or send us an email!
Will acoustic panels help with noisy neighbours?
As acoustic panels aren’t used for soundproofing, instead improving the sound quality within a room, a typical acoustic wall panel won’t block sound coming from your noisy neighbour. However, we do offer a noisy neighbour solution that can be applied directly to an existing wall.
In certain spaces, acoustic panels can help by increasing speech intelligibility, which in turn lowers the volume at which people speak. This can help reduce noise transmission between rooms.
How much sound do acoustic panels absorb?
How much sound an acoustic panel absorbs varies from panel to panel. Each acoustic panel is given an absorption class ranging from Class A to Class E, with ‘A’ offering the highest level of sound absorption. The class is given to an acoustic panel in accordance with international standard EN ISO 11654.
The absorption levels of an acoustic panel can be enhanced with the right placement. By placing acoustic panels at first reflection points, alternating across parallel walls or at the height of the source of sound, they will be more effective at reducing reverberation and overall noise levels.
Increasing the number of acoustic panels in the space will have a similar effect to using higher performance panels.
How do you fix acoustic panels to the wall?
Typically, acoustic panels are mounted to the wall using either a strong construction glue such as Pinkgrip or are screwed to the wall. Some acoustic wall panels such as our own MuffleStick feature a self-adhesive backing that requires no extra tools or equipment, you can simply peel off the protective backing and press firmly to the wall to apply.
What are acoustic panels made of?
There is a wide variety of materials that absorb sound and are therefore used as acoustic panels. Our range includes PET, which is a felt-style material, fabric-wrapped glass fibre or foam, cork, melamine foam and more. Materials information can be found on any product page, with full detail available to download.
I have some design ideas, can you help?
Yes! We work with a number of designers and skilled manufacturers which means that we can offer custom acoustic panel solutions. Get in touch with your requirements and a member of the team will be delighted to help.
Can acoustic panels be used in any space?
Acoustic panels are suitable for most indoor spaces, though some materials are not designed for use in areas where they may get damp or wet. Check individual product pages to find out more about any limitations of use.
