Woolly Shepherd's suspended ceiling Sound Clouds are acoustic absorbers made entirely from natural fibres (100% UK sheep’s wool and compressed, waste, wood fibre). These stylish and effective absorbers are a great solution for acoustic issues in your space, absorbing sound across their entire surface area whilst constructing a beautifully structured aesthetic.

The acoustic performance of the clouds are measured in a reverberation chamber at ISVR Southampton.
In order to ensure that the stated performance can be relied upon and compared fairly with other acoustic absorbers, the testing is carried out in accordance with BS EN ISO 354: 2003 ‘Acoustics Measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room’.

As a consequence of their irregular shape, the clouds are tested and reported as a value (absorption coefficient) per item rather than the more normal reporting of absorption per square meter of material. This simply means that the clouds are reported as a value equivalent to Xm2 of a 100% absorber.
