Collection: Acoustic Rafts

Acoustic rafts are a highly effective acoustic solution. They are designed to be hung horizontally or applied directly to the ceiling to absorb sound from above, reducing reverberation and noise build up. Shop our diverse selection of ceiling rafts that will suit any application.

Acoustic rafts are perfect for reducing noise in restaurants with high ceilings, adding a practical design element to offices, or creating visual centrepieces in receptions. From sleek and professional to fun and creative, we offer ceiling rafts to suit any style.

Acoustic ceiling rafts are suitable for most environments and are ideal for areas that lack wall space or are unable to use direct-fix ceiling solutions. Typically, ceiling rafts are straightforward to install and, as they don’t take up valuable wall or floor space, are a popular choice of acoustic solution. Available in a range of styles, sizes, and colours, finding an acoustic raft to suit your space is easy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many acoustic rafts do I need?

The number of acoustic rafts required in a space depends on a number of factors, including the size, what it's used for, other furnishings in the room, and how many hard surfaces such as glass windows and partitions are present.

Rafts are popular because they can create a large surface area for absorbing sound without taking up wall space, which means that 3-4 may be effective in a small meeting room. Larger spaces might require groups of rafts above desks to effectively absorb working noise.

Our acoustics experts are on hand through live chat, email or over the phone if you're looking for advice.

How are acoustic rafts fixed to the ceiling?

The method of attachement will vary from product to product and from space to space. Hangars are available with a number of fixings, whether you're looking to use an existing suspended ceiling grid, or affix the hangars directly into the ceiling.

Installation instructions for all of our acoustic rafts are available to download on product pages, but get in touch if you require any further help.

What are acoustic rafts made of?

Acoustic rafts are generally made of PET, fabric wrapped or painted glassfibre. Each material has its own benefits, which you can learn more about in our product brochures. PET is a felt-style material made from recycled plastic bottles, glassfibre tends to be made from recycled glass bottles, and there are a number of different finishes available.
